Until they perfect cloning, there is no way anyone can see all of the exciting panels at San Diego Comic-Con.
In fact, chances are most Con-goers will find that some of their favorite panels conflict with each other. So here are ten that should be worth what could be a long, long wait in line.
1. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" (Thursday, 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in Hall H) – Considering the fact that Twi-hards are already in line for this, it has to go at the top of the list, like it or not. Emma Loggins has broken down the details on this matter, but needless to say, the third "Twilight" panel should come loaded up with all kinds of new information, and likely, new footage from the next-to-last film. Not to mention what most fans are really there to see - the movie's cast, in the flesh.
2. Sony Pictures (Friday, 4-6:30 p.m., Hall H) – This two-and-a-half hour extravaganza will preview four upcoming movies from the studio: "30 Minutes or Less," "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance," the reboot of "Total Recall," and the big behemoth of them all, "The Amazing Spider-Man." Look for Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Colin Farrell, Nicolas Cage, Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari at this panel, along with probable first looks at all but "30 Minutes" (which comes out August 12).
3. 20th Century Fox (Thursday, 3:15-4:30 p.m., Hall H) – The studio is tight-lipped about what upcoming films will be presented here, but look for Ridley Scott's highly-anticipated sci-fi film "Prometheus" to be among them. In which case, Charlize Theron will be there as well.
4. Showtime (Thursday, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Ballroom 20) – The network presents a look at its upcoming drama, "Homeland" starring Claire Danes and including an appearance by co-star Morena Baccarin, not to mention the unusual-for-Comic-Con hit series, "Shameless," with Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy in attendance. But at the end of the day, most fans are there to see the "Dexter" cast, including star Michael C. Hall and new addition, Colin Hanks, talk about the new season in the fall.
5. "The Adventures of Tintin" (Friday, 11:00 a.m.-noon, Hall H) – The trailers for the next Steven Spielberg film show off impressive animation, but fans will get even more of a glimpse of what to expect when the movie debuts on December 23, and Spielberg himself makes his first appearance at Comic-Con.
6. "The Walking Dead" (Friday, 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Ballroom 20) – We should get the most extensive footage and information yet about the second season of AMC's hit zombie apocalypse series, which was an instant hit last year at the Con.
7. "Chuck" (Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m., Ballroom 20) – It's the final hurrah for one of the most popular shows at Comic-Con, sure to include a very memorable performance by Jeffster.
8. "Terra Nova" (Saturday 11 a.m.-noon, Ballroom 20) – The oft-delayed series with jaw-dropping special effects (for television, anyway) will do its first Comic-Con panel, after canceling last year. Fans are going to expect lots of footage (perhaps even the full pilot itself?) to get a feel for how the Fox show will turn out, starting September 26.
9. "Immortals" (Saturday 1 – 2 p.m., Hall H) – This "3-D action adventure" will probably draw the "300" crowd. But more importantly to many fans, Henry Cavill, the next Superman, will be on the panel.
10. Dark Horse: Joss Whedon (Saturday 3-4 p.m., Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront) – There is no official panel for "The Avengers," but Whedonites will still be salivating to find out details about his ninth season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in comic book form.
11. "Game of Thrones" (Thursday 3-4 p.m., Ballroom 20) – When George R.R. Martin– creator of the book series on which "Thrones" was based - moderating this panel, it is simply a must for anyone who was instantly hooked by the new HBO series in recent months.
12. "Glee" (Sunday 10-11 a.m., Hall H) – Executive producer Brad Falchuk, and stars Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum, Jr., and Dot-Marie Jones will hopefully spill some secrets about the third season, in between previewing the upcoming "Glee: The 3-D Concert Movie."
Admittedly, even these 12 panels are probably not possible for one person to attend, but there's something here for everyone's taste, which has become one thing that sets Comic-Con apart from all the rest.
